Error : /usr/sbin/rcndsd: line 327: rc_failed: command not found while Installing eDirectory on a SLES 11 SP1 server.
Error while installing eDirectory on a SLES 11 SP1 server, "rcndsd status " shows the following error :
Failed to obtain a Novell eDirectory Server connection to .. or Novell eDirectory Server is not running
/usr/sbin/rcndsd: line 327: rc_failed: command not found
/usr/sbin/rcndsd: line 327: rc_status: command not found
"rcndsd start " shows the following error :

Resolution
This happens due to "rs.status " file got corrupted during the installation.
Replace the "rc.status " file from another server with the same version and then complete the installation.
