Situation
- Launching bundle with "Edit Text file" action
- Action has the option "Prepend lines to file" or "Append lines to file" selected
- The text in "New String" contains a curly bracket "{", perhaps as part of a System Variable
- [Error is: An error occured while performing the "{0}" action. The error message is - "{1}". (Edit Text File Action)]
Resolution
This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Workaround: If a System Variable is being used, double-check the spelling, because it has not been recognized. If the "{" is part of some other text, replace it with some other symbol, such as "(" or "["
