Situation

Logs to monitor eDirectory User login attempts. To check for the failed User login attempts in eDirectory, go through the following log files.


Resolution

1) NDS trace logs
2) NMAS trace logs
3) LDAP trace logs
4) Novell  Sentinel log manager.

Additional Information

The ndstrace.log file is located in the following Directory :

  •    eDirectory 8.7.3 (default) - /var/nds
  •    eDirectory 8.8 (default) - /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/log
