OES11: Cannot open MS Office, PDF or Autocad files

Using Vista or Windows 7 as the workstation, and accessing NSS volumes residing on an OES 11 server, the ability to open Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc), PDF's and Autocad files on those NSS volumes no longer works if the user has the default of "Read" and "File Scan" for the rights.

This error shows up when trying to open a file:
"'H:\Test.docx' cannot be found.  Check your spelling, or try a different path."

Apply the latest client for Vista/Windows 7, which has the fix included.  At this time, that is the IR9a client, which can be found here:

Workaround:
Giving the users the "write" right to the files/folders will also allow the files to be opened.
