First log entries show public access in extended logfile for a protected resource

Situation

Customer reported that first log entries in extended logs for a user that hits a protected resource do not have the username logged.

Resolution

The very first hit to the resource to a protected resource is logged as public and that is working as designed since user is not authenticated yet at that time.
The user gets redirected to the IDP and logs in and then the next hit on the proxy is logged with the username.
