After system update, casa external may return errors

Environment

Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management Support Pack 1 - ZCM 11 SP1

Situation

After updating to ZENworks 11.1 on Linux, the external CASA (2645 port) may return errors for login.  Normally this won't prevent user logins as that is only used for failover.
 
ERROR (from casaauthoken.log):

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
 
Workaround:
 
Check if this file exists:  /srv/www/casaats/conf/catalina.properties
 
If the file does not exist:
 
  1. Copy /opt/novell/zenworks/share/tomcat/conf/catalina.properties to /srv/www/casaats/conf 
  2. chown casaatsd.casaauth catalina.properties
  3. /etc/init.d/casa-atsd restart
