How does the GroupWise GWIA startup switch SMTPHOME work when used with a 3rd Party application

Purpose:
To identify the process of how inbound and outbound e-mail messages traverse the GroupWise GWIA directory structure when the GWIA 3rd Party switch, "SMTPHOME" is used.  In the graphic displayed you will see "INx" and "OUTx" , where "x" is the chronologically ordered step number , both INBOUND (In) and OUTBOUND (Out). 

 

In the graphic, OUTBOUND, you would start at /GWDOM/wpgate/gwia/SEND (Out1) (Ordered steps Out1, Out2, Out3, Out4)

In the graphic, INBOUND, you would start at the INTERNET CLOUD (In1) (Ordered steps In1, In2, In3, In4, In5)
