Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux
AFP

Situation

Delete and Rename Inhibit flags causing access denied to folders via AFP
Access denied AFP
Home directories locked AFP

Resolution

There are two known work-arounds for this issue:

1. Copy the contents of the locked directory out to a temporary directory.  Delete and re-create the directory and re-assign the appropriate rights.  Once this is complete, copy back in the data from the temporary directory.  (It would also be possible to remove the hidden files ((all prefixed with a .)))

2. Remove the delete and rename inhibit flags from the 'locked' directories
