Microsoft Windows Server 2008
Novell Identity Manager 3.6.1
Novell Identity Manager 4.0
IDM Active directory driver running in remote loader
Password filter running on Windows Domain Controller
Error message: "Server is busy ..."

Situation

Windows Domain Controller 2008 stops responding.
LSASS locks up on the Domain Controller 2008.
Windows Domain Controller 2008 becomes unaccessible.

Resolution

The issue described above is caused by a password filter (pwfilter.dll) running on any Windows Domain Controller in AD domain.

Please install the latest patch for IDM AD driver with pwfilter.dll from
