Environment

Novell GroupWise 8

Situation

When running the standalone GWCheck utility and specifying a log file, the log file does not get created.

Resolution

Click on the Results tab, remove the checkmark next to Administrator, and make sure the Results tab does not have any selections filled in.

If no path is specified with the log file name, the standalone GWCheck utility will write the log file to the directory where GWCheck is run from.

Additional Information

GWCheck will not create a log file if the administrator has been defined on the domain for which GWCheck is being run.

This is working as designed. GWCheck will mail the results to the administrator, rather than create the log file in the post office.
