Unable to view OES Welcome screen

Accessing an OES 2 Linux server's IP address or DNS name through a web browser shows a simple web page stating "It works!", rather than the OES Welcome screen.

The OES Welcome screen, and management components available on that screen, are made available through a complex configuration of Apache. However, this configuration can be complete blocked by the existence of the following file:

 /srv/www/htdocs/index.html

If the above file exists, Apache serves up that file instead of following the configuration required for the OES Welcome screen. In this specific case, a sample index.html was placed in /srv/www/htdocs, which caused the "It works!" message, and blocked the OES Welcome screen.

To resolve this issue, delete the /srv/www/htdocs/index.html file.
