Situation

Error running install for DataSync.

"An error was returned while calling sync_setup_5.pyc 1"

Firewall proxy setup on the server.

Resolution

  1. Clear all  IP Addresses from the firewall proxies in Yast | Network Services | Proxy.
  2. Install DataSync.
  3. Reconfigure the firewall proxies in Yast.  Reenter to the Proxy list the server's IP address and  the ip addresses for all POA where users are located that will be using DataSync.
