ZENworks Configuration Management Adaptive Agent shows no bundles or policies assigned

Situation

Bundle and policy assignments in the adaptive agent appear blank and System-Update assignments are not running on the workstation.

errors in zmd-messages.log:

Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.
Loader Exceptions:
    0: Could not load file or assembly 'LzmaLib, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

 [DEBUG] [06/20/2011 13:58:31.406] [1324] [ZenworksWindowsService] [25] [] [ModuleLoader] [] [com.novell.zenworks.module.actionmanagermodule has a dependency on com.novell.zenworks.module.contentmodule, but no module with that id has been loaded

Resolution

Corrective Steps:
  1. Replace C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENworks\bin\LzmaLib.dll from a workstation running the same adaptive agent version.
  2. Restart the Novell ZENworks Agent Service on the workstation
Policies and bundles should now be visible on the managed device.

Additional Information

This is caused by the anti-virus on the workstation removing LzmaLib.dll from %ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin
