Access Manager 3.1.4 ir1
VMWare Workstation 8.03
Linux Access Gateway Service on SLES 11sp1
1280mb RAM
Situation
Access Manager Test Lab running with minimal configuration within VMWare.
Resolution
Linux Server with Access Gateway Service installed with NAM 3.1 SP4
The AGS was installed on SLES 11 SP1 with 1.2 GB RAM
After applying ir1, no proxy services would work, the error " Unable to connect" would be returned at the browser.

Cause
In ir1 the the apache service has been updated and may require more memory.
A workaround is to increase resources via ulimit
ulimit -s unlimited
/etc/init.d/novell-apache2 start
and apache will probably load
/var/log/novell-apache2/error_log should inicate that the worker has started
The proper solution is to allocate sufficient memory to the server running AGS (4GB ram) and this problem will not occcur.
