Some mails from Internet with Attachments never reach the GroupWise user

Situation

Some mails from Internet with Attachments never reach the GroupWise user
Mails hit the GWIA but never reaches the GroupWise user
GWIA accepts the mail with the Attachment but mail never reaches the GroupWise User
No notification to the sender/receiver or the administrator about undelivered mail
ERROR: "No UDM status generated, no originator found" in the MTA Logs
ERROR: "Send size limit exceeded" in the MTA Logs

Resolution

Increase the "Maximum send message size "  in the MTA Link Configuration than what is set in GWIA (Mutiply the size limit in GWIA by 2 or 3 and set the resulting value in Link Configuration in the MTA).
 
If a mail with an attachment of 11mb is received by the GWIA, by the time it is converted to GroupWise format, the size of email becomes around 26 mb. By the time it hits the MTA, the email is already crossed its limit that is set in the MTA and the MTA goes ahead and deletes the email.  This has been reported to Engineering that the MTA should send sender/receiver or the Administrator some notification that the mail has been blocked.
 
Please follow the steps listed below to increase the "Maximum send message size " in Link Configuration:
  1. Launch ConsoleOne.
  2. Connect to the Domain Object.
  3. Right Click the Domain Object and click GroupWise Utilities | Link Configuration .
  4. Edit the Link Configuration and increase the "Maximum send message size " and do this for all the Links and for all the Domains and save the changes.
  5. Right Click the Post Office and click GroupWise Utilities | Link Configuration .
  6. Edit the Link Configuration and increase the "Maximum send message size " and save the changes. Increase the Maximum send message size for all the Post Office Links.
