Novell GroupWise 8
When nicknames are already in use within the organization, any user is able view these nicknames.
Nicknames are only visible when the "Filter for Contacts' filter is selected.
To not have any nicknames visible at all, change the nickname visibility to NONE with the GroupWise users properties.
To view these nicknames perform the following:
- Open the Address Book
- Select the Novell GroupWise Address Book
- In the upper right corner, select the Filter button
- Select 'Filter for Contacts'
- Notice that nicknames now appear in the System Address Book
IMPORTANT: Unlike the other objects listed above, nicknames that have been distributed to a post office do not actually appear in the post officeâs Address Book. Users must type the nicknameâs address in the message rather than select it from the Address Book.
