Filter not clearing for shared folders

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 2

Situation

Steps to duplicate:
1) Populate a shared folder with hundreds of messages (300-400)
2) Open the shared folder to view all messages
3) In the filter box, enter a keyword to select a small portion of the messages
4) Drag and move those messages to another folder
5) Select the drop-down by the word Filter and choose Clear
6) Notice that the shared folder does not populate with the remaining items
7) Press F5, and the messages will not re-appear
8) Switching folder views and coming back into the shared folder will populate it
with messages, or sending a new mail message into that folder from a rule or
WebAccess will populate the folder again
