User unable to send email due to corrupt signature

Environment

Novell GroupWise 2012
Novell GroupWise 8
Novell GroupWise 7

Situation

* Need to clean user signature
* Unable to send email due to bad signature
* Unable to remove user signature using GroupWise client

Resolution

"clearsig" option is available with GWcheck  in GroupWise 7 to clean the bad signature. Please following the steps below:

1. Open ConsoleOne and identify the user in GroupWise section
2. Right click the user, select GroupWise Utilities -- Mailbox/Library maintenance.
3. Under "Action", select "Reset Client Options". Do not check clear password, unless you want to reset the password for the user.
4. Under the Misc tab, put "clearsig" without the quotes and hit "Run"

After the above is complete the user signature will be fixed.

Additional Information

Please note that the "clearsig" parameter does not clear the signature, it fixes the signature. You will have to login to the GroupWise client and delete the signature manually.
