error "Cluster Volume Broker(CVB) has not registered for pool events" when creating a new NSS Pool

Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux

Situation

When you try to create a new NSS Pool on a one-node cluster the following error is presented:

Cluster Volume Broker(CVB) has not registered for pool events

Resolution

As per documentation, a one-node cluster that has shared disk storage can be configured without an SBD. However, without the SBD partition is not possible to create a shared NSS Pool.

In order to resolve the problem the SBD partition needs to created. See the following link:
