Situation
Errors during installation when running on VM guest. If the hypervisor layer (labeled the "Guest OS" when creating the VM) does not match exactly the OS being installed on the VM, then Microsoft's driver interface has issues during the installation of the ZESM drivers.
For example... if the Guest OS is Windows Vista, then if Windows 7 is installed on the VM the failure is seen. If the the "Guest OS" says Windows 2008, then if Windows 2008 R2 is installed on the VM the failure is seen.

Resolution
Correct to ensure that the hypervisor Guest OS matches exactly the OS installed on the guest.
