HTC thunderbolt changes subject line when forwarding email with attachment

Situation

When forwarding a message that has an attachment with HTC thunderbolt, the subject line shows the UTF encoded characters and not the actual text.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Send a messages with an attachment from Groupwise client to the user who uses HTC thunderbolt.
  2. From HC thunderbolt device forward the email with attachment to internal or external user.
  3. The subject line changes to UTF encoded format.
  4. The subject changes on the outbox on the device or client receiving messages.
