After entering the user's credentials in the Novell GINA, the screen clears and a the user will see a blank, blue screen for several minutes before the login will complete normally and the desktop appears.

A cluster was being migrated to an OES 2 SP2 server, and the cluster volume resource was therefore offline.

An LDIF export of the ZENworks eDirectory application objects had been conducted, and all the references to the offline cluster volume resource were removed.


Remove/correct all references to the non-existent resource in the ZENworks workstation object policy. Navigate to locations which might reference an invalid location, such as <User Container> -> Policy -> Properties -> Windows XP -> Windows -> Manage Group Policies -> Network location of existing/new policies -> UNC path to old/non-existent cluster volume location.
