Modification Time stamp error while repairing Local Database on eDirectory 8.8.6

Situation

Modification Time Stamp error while repairing Local Database on a Master or a Read/Write server.
Obituaries are stuck

Resolution

This is a known issue with eDirectory.
  1. Check time synchronization using command "ndsrepair -T".
  2. Check report synchronization using command "ndsrepair -E".
  3. Check Obituary report using command "ndsrepair -C -Ad -A.
  4. Check for the Binary version of eDirectory
  • If no error is seen in time sync and report sync and the Binary version is lower than  20601.18, this indicates that the server is hitting a Bug. 
  • Go for an online (channel) update for eDirectory which would apply the latest  FTF patch3.
