Error C057 in the GroupWise Internet Agent (GWIA) Log

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2

Situation

  • The C057 error encountered in the GWIA causing Internet email to not be delivered.
  • The problem files are dropped into the <domain>\wpgate\gwia\gwprob folder.
  • No C057 error is displayed in the MTA or POA log.
  • At the time of the C057 error on the GWIA log, there are 8209 errors instances of the "Recovering the admin database for domain database in the MTA log.
  • There are some files in the <postoffice>\wpcsout\ads\2 folder and/or the <domain>\wpcsout\ads\2 directory

Resolution

Renaming the <postoffice>\wpcsout\ads\2 folder and/or the <domain>\wpcsout\ads\2 directory resolved the issue.
