GWCheck not launching on 64bit Linux

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux Support Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Situation

Trying to run GWCheck on a 64bit Linux platform returns Java exception errors.
 
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: gwadj2

Resolution

Open a terminal window and type:
 
export JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0"

To make this setting permanent, add the line to the /etc/initscripts file
