Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3 Database

Situation

The ZENworks Embedded Datastore service would not start with the %ZENWORKS_HOME% variable being used for the path to the sybase_debug.log in the zenworks_database.conf file.

Resolution

Modifying the zenworks_database.conf file using the literal path to the sybase_debug.log  allowed the ZENworks Embedded Datastore service to start successfully.
