New Inventory objects created in eDirectory after ZDM7 upgrade

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Inventory

Situation

After upgrading ZDM7 (for example with a Hot Patch), new Inventory objects are created in eDirectory
The new objects will be configured as Standalone

Resolution

Check config.properties in the [ZENworks directory]\Inv\server\WmInv\properties directory. If this contains entries that reference "null" then restore the file from a backup copy, delete the duplicate objects in eDirectory, and restart the inventory service.
