Resolution

If the above TID does not help, then follow the steps listed below. Please be careful while modifying registry as incorrect registry modification can corrupt the system

Workaround Steps:
  1. Click Start.
  2. Right Click on Network and click Properties .
  3. Click Manage network connections on the left under Tasks.
  4. Note down the name of the Local Area Connection that is being used for GWIA's IP Address. It could be Local Area Connection or Local Area Connection 2 or Local Area Connection 3 depending on number of Network Adapters.
  5. Click Start | Run  and type regedit and click OK
  6. Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} .
  7. Expand the above Key and all the subkeys underneath it. The subkey would have a Key called Connection. Highlight it and look for the Name Value on the right hand side and find the Friendly name that was noted in step 4 (Local Area Connection, Local Area Connection 2 or Local Area Connection 3 ).
  8. Once the friendly name is found, note the subkey value. It would be something like {B0E58C32-0C1D-41A5-A6BD-911A8709978C }.
  9. Once the Key is noted down, scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\
  10. Expand Adapters ,DNSRegisteredAdapters ,Interfaces .
  11. Export Adapters ,DNSRegisteredAdapters ,Interfaces and save it to the Server as a backup.
  12. Search for the Key underneath Adapters , DNSRegisteredAdapaters and Interfaces that was noted in step 8. In this example, it would be B0E58C32-0C1D-41A5-A6BD-911A8709978C .
  13. Remove all the other Keys except the one that was noted in step 8.
  14. Edit the NameServer Key to reflect your DNS IP Address if it is blank.
  15. Restart GWIA.
The above changes may go away if the server is restarted and the steps may need to be followed again.

If at any point of time, a mistake was done while deleting the keys just double click on the backup file that was made in step 11 and it will revert everything back to its original configuration.
