Items deleted from POP/IMAP accounts does not get deleted from the GroupWise client

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 2

Situation

Items deleted from POP/IMAP accounts does not get deleted from the GroupWise client but are striked out.

Resolution

Deleting the item from GroupWise client deletes it from the IMAP/POP accounts and the GroupWise client aswell.

Additional Information

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. Enable IMAP/POP in GWIA.
  2. Configure an IMAP/POP account on a device or any IMAP client.
  3. Allow the client to download the items from GroupWise.
  4. Delete an item from the IMAP/POP client.
  5. The item will be listed in the striked out form in the GroupWise client and the IMAP/POP client.
