How to obtain the credentials needed to create a "Novell Subscription"

Creating "Novell Subscription" to download the catalogs available in the NU repository from Novell Customer Center and replicate them to the local server in the Management Zone.

Specify the URL of the repository you want to access. The default URL is Novell Updates.

For the Novell Updates (NU) server, the device must be registered with Novell Customer Center to use the DeviceID and Device Secret as a user and password. For more information on how to register a device with Novell Customer Center, see the Novell Customer Center documentation."

For SLES 10/OES 2 server: once registered with Novell Customer Center, the deviceid is in /etc/zmd/deviceid and the secret is in /etc/zmd/secret,

For SLES 11,  /etc/zypp/credentials.d/NCCcredentials contains both pieces of information as "username" and "password"

they are each a 32-digit hexadecimal string. Enter these as login name and password respectively.
