Environment
Novell GroupWise 8
Situation
GroupWise runs in a Linux environment and it has a library configured with a remote document area.
When importing new document in the library, you get 8209 error at a client site.
When running QF Indexing on the PO holding the library, you might also see 8209 error on ngwguard.db file.
Resolution
A reason behind those errors is missing Linux path in the remote document area definition. When you define an UNC location of the remote directory that will hold a remote document area, please, fill in also the Linux path field. Make sure that the Linux path has a Linux directory syntax how the server sees the remote directory locally. For instance, if it is OES server with nss volume where there is a directory assigned to the remote document area, then the Linux path shall be anything like /media/nss/<volume>/<directory>.
