From and To Field missing from some mails on some devices

Situation

From and To Field missing from some mails on some devices
Unable to see From and To Field on some mails on the device
Unable to see From/To fields on mails coming through Exchange Gateway or Notes Gateway 

Resolution

This issue is seen if the From/To field are not in the format of userID@InternetDomain.com and is in the format of userid.PostOffice.Domain. This issue is seen if Internet Addressing is not being used or if mails passes through Exchange Gateway or Notes Gateway and is also specific to certain devices like Motorola Droid 2.2. This is because the ActiveSync protocol is based on internet addressing for email and so any device supporting ActiveSync would expect an Address in the form of userID@InternetDomain.com.
This has been reported to Engineering
 
Workaround Steps:
One workaround would be to make the mails come from Exchange or Lotus Notes through SMTP instead of the Exchange or Lotus Notes Gateway.
