"A newer version of Novell File Upload extension is available" - message always displayed

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3 ZENworks Control Center - ZCC

Situation

Trying to upload files/directories into a bundle via ZCC
 
Message
A newer version of Novell File Upload extension is available.
Click here to upgrade 
is displayed
 
After upgrading, Firefox is restarted, but the message is still displayed

Resolution

For ZCM 10: This is fixed in version 10.3.4 - see KB 7008244 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

For ZCM 11: This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround:
  1. take a backup copy, then rename the file nfileuploadext.xpi
    Windows:
    %ZENWORKS_HOME%\share\tomcat\webapps\zenworks\ext\nfileuploadext.xpi
    Linux:
    /opt/novell/zenworks/share/tomcat/webapps/zenworks/ext/nfileuploadext.xpi
    to nfileuploadext.zip
  2. unzip the file
  3. In a text editor, open the install.rdf file
  4. Replace "10.3.1" with "10 3.2" or "10 3.3" depending on the version installed
  5. re-zip all the files
  6. rename the file to nfileuploadext.xpi
  7. Re-attempt the upgrade
