Error: "iPrint Client - Driver profile <Profile Name> is assigned to this printer and could not be found, failed to download or was corrupt"

When installing a printer the following error is displayed:

 

When managing a printer in iManager, the profile does not appear in the list of available profiles.

 

Unable manage printer driver profiles after a recreation of the printer manager database and a "/" is found in the name of the driver.

 

If this problem occurs, the only way to resolve the issue is to delete the offending profiles and recreate them. However, to prevent it from happening again a new iprint-server rpm is required to write the XML file correctly.

 

If the settings pertaining to that specific profile are not documented, then visit a workstation with the printer installed and document the settings to use for creating the new profile.  Create the profile with the same name to keep the associations to the printer agents.
