Changing the From: field has no effect - Domain is always used

Environment

Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Vista
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Server 2008
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Server 2008 R2

Situation

There is a problem when trying to make an eDirectory + Windows logon using a local account instead of a domain account. The user is being allowed to change the "From:" field for the Windows logon tab, but it seemingly has no effect on the subsequent login, and the domain is always used.

Additional Information

On a WinXP machines using Novell Client 4.91 SP5, before logging on to the machine if you go to the advanced options and select the windows tab you can change the FROM location from the domain controller or the local machine and in doing this you will log onto the local machine. Using the Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7, if you select advanced option before logging on to the machine and select the windows tab and change the FROM location to be the local machine name, it will still log you onto the domain.
