Nicknames continue to work after expiration date has been reached, and the nickname is expired

When creating a nickname for a GroupWise user, there is an option to set an expiration date for the nickname.  When setting the nickname to expire on a certain date, the nickname continues to function after the expiration date has been reached.


This is working as designed.  The nickname expiration does not prevent the nickname from being used.  All that happens when the date expires for the nickname, is that the nickname is put on the Expired Records List.   The Expired Records list can be viewed in ConsoleOne by selecting, Tools, GroupWise Utilities, Expired Records.  The user or administrator may then remove the nickname or not.
