ZCM 10.3.2: Scheduled bundles do not launch when Asset Management has expired

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3 Bundles
Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3 System Update
Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.3.2 - upgrade downloaded from NCC (ZCC System Update page) before January 28 2001
 
System Update to 10.3.2 was not downloaded from the Manual Import zip file at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=p3kGCuyaFhs~
 
%ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin\modules\AppModule.dll has the version 10.3.1.60099

Situation

Bundles do not launch on schedule
 
Asset Management ZCC>Configuration >Licenses >"ZENworks 10 Asset Management " shows as "expired "
 
System Update to 10.3.2 was downloaded via Novell Customer Center (ZCC>Configuration >System Updates >Action >Download Update before January 28 2011
 

Resolution

  1. Obtain the updated System Update; delete the "old" update from ZCC:
    (ZCC>Configuration >System Updates >"Deploying System Updates ">check update "Update for ZCM (10.3.2) ">Action >Cancel Deployment
    ZCC> Configuration > System Updates >check update " Update for ZCM (10.3.2) "> Action > Delete Update

    Download the amended update, either by ZCC>Configuration >System Updates >Action >Check for updates, then select "Update for ZCM (10.3.2) " and Action >Download update
    or by downloading and importing the manual import zip file - https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=p3kGCuyaFhs~
  2. Update existing Primary servers and managed devices that have already received the 10.3.2 update - obtain the patch from https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=rt3IbmkS4pQ~ and follow the installation instructions provided in the patch readme.
