Situation

ZCM Agent install fails to remove existing ZDM 7 agent at PreAgent Status:
From ZENPreAgent.InstallLog ERROR: Creating EventLog source ZENPreAgent in log Application...
From Application Event Log ERROR: [ZENPreAgent.FirewallHandler_win._openFirewallPort(Int32 port, Boolean openTCP,
Boolean openUDP)] Firewall openPortType found.

Resolution

For ZCM 10.3: This is fixed in version 10.3.2 - see KB 7007237 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround: Prior to 10.3.2 Turn on Windows Firewall on the local device.
