Situation

Data Synchronizer installation hangs while browsing to ISO during install or update

Resolution

Workaround Steps:

Rename the Data Sync ISO file name to a short file name (eg : datasync.iso) and perform following steps :
  1. Launch YaST
  2. Browse to Software | Add-On Product.
  3. Select Local ISO Image and click Next.
  4. Enter Repository Name (Example: mobility).
  5. Under Path to ISO Image | Type the Path location for the Data Synchronizer ISO. eg: /root/desktop/datasync.iso). Do not browse to Data Synchronizer ISO. Also please make sure that the path to the ISO does not contain any spaces
  6. Click Next and proceed with installation.
