AD User Accounts Getting Locked After Connecting To CIFS And Sitting Idle

Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server 11 (OES 11) Linux
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux

Situation

With CIFS configured in Domain Passthrough mode, AD users accounts are getting locked after successfully authenticating to the server and then having their connection sit idle for a short time.

Cause

As per the documentation, the Primary Domain Controller (PDC) has some prerequisites that need to be met. Please see the following documentation--specifically section 5.4.1
