Situation
Making an image of a Microsoft Windows 2003 server that is attached to a SAN
The network attached SAN shows up in the list of available partitions for imaging
The imaging menu (GUI) is used to make the image of the server
While making the image, an extremely large "unknown" file is shown being copied to the image

Resolution
Make the image using the Imaging Maintenance Mode Prompt
Specifically include the partitions that need to be in the image and don't include the partitions representing the SAN LUNs
Example: img -makep subdir1/myimage.zmg -i=3 -i=4
In this example, partitions 3 and 4 are the partitions that are included in the image. They are not representing LUNs.
