Situation

Bundles, policies, administrators associated with an LDAP user source disappear, vanish, are lost following an LDAP or network (e.g. Router) issue.

Resolution

For ZCM 10.3: This is fixed in version 10.3.4 - see KB 7008244 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

For ZCM 11: This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround:  Restore the ZCM Database.

Additional Information

The LDAP user source suffered intermittent or transient errors that made it appear that an object has been deleted when it hadn't.

Example:  ZCM was set up to point to an eDirectory LDAP source.  eDirectory suffered a problem that meant that ZCM could connect, authenticate and bind correctly but would not find any objects.  ZCM then assumed that all of those objects had been deleted and deleted every single association.
