ERROR: "Error [AUTH] : Invalid login and password"

Configuration:
Multiple accounts set up in GroupWise Client in Accounts | Account Options

Situation

Invalid Authentication error "Error [AUTH] : Invalid login and password. Service failed. Check status log" when trying to access Multiple Accounts from GroupWise Client
Unable to login to POP/IMAP account from GroupWise Client

Resolution

  1. Login to GroupWise Client.
  2. Click Accounts | Account Options. Select the Account in question and click  Properties | General.
  3. Fill in the Reply address: field.
  4. Click the Server tab and fill in the Login name: and the Password: field for POP3. If required, fill in the information also for SMTP.
  5. Provide proper information for SMTP as fully qualified name under "Outgoing mail for SMTP".
  6. Relogin to GroupWise Client.
