Unable to access GroupWise Restore area on Linux

Environment

Products:
Novell GroupWise 8
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux
 
Configuration:
Restore area and Post Office on the same server
Membership of the Restore area is set to individual users

Situation

8219 error when opening the restore area from the GroupWise Client
Restoring from C1 does not give the error
Click OK on the error message and clicking OK again works fine 

Resolution

Reported to Engineering
Workaround Steps:
  1. Launch the GroupWise Client.
  2. Click on File | Open Backup.
  3. Click OK on the error message.
  4. Click OK on the Restore Path.
OR
 
Set the Membership of the Restore Area to the Entire Post Office. This would eliminate the error.
  1. Launch ConsoleOne.
  2. Click Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Restore Area Management...
  3. Highlight the Restore area and click Edit.
  4. Click Membership.
  5. Highlight the Individual users and click Delete.
  6. Add the Post Office in the Membership by clicking Add.
