Resolution
This is believed to be fixed in the GroupWise 8.0.2 Hot
Patch 2 release. This fix is addressed
for SOAP communication on the POA.
Workaround:
Sometimes deleting the appointment from the trash will cause the appointment to delete from the BlackBerry device. If the appointment does not delete from the device, then proceed to delete the appointment directly from the device itself.

Additional Information
Please refer to RIM's KB article for further information. www.blackberry.com/btsc/kb25090
Prior to 8.0.2 Hot Patch 1 for GroupWise, the GroupWise POA did not return information for deleted items after a getItemsRequest SOAP call unless the event ID for the item was provided during the SOAP call. GroupWise 8.0.2 Hot Patch 1 returns the information on the deleted items, regardless of whether an event ID is provided or not, making it appear as if the item has not actually been deleted, because of this, the BlackBerry Messaging Agent does not process the deletion.
Customers running BES 4.1.7 with OAPI mode, should not see this issue since it's tied to SOAP communications.
