Getting error "Unable to save attachment" while sending emails in HTML format through Webaccess

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2
Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 1

Configuration:

Groupwise MTA, Groupwise POA, Webaccess Agent,Webserver, Tomcat & Gwia running on SLES10 Support Pack 2 OES2 Server.

Situation

  1. Login as Groupwise User in Webaccess.
  2. Compose an email.
  3. Set the compose view to HTML.
  4. Send the email. Note that you will get an error "Unable to save attachment <2>"
  5. Works fine when the compose view is set to Plain Text.

Resolution

  1. Check the disk space in the root partition "/" using command "df -h".
  2. Make sure you have atleast 10 to 15 Gigs of free space.
  3. Delete log files if enough free space is not available.
  4. Once enough disk space is availabe either restart the Webserver, Tomcat and Webaccess agent or reboot the Server.

Additional Information

Note : Do not restart any of the services or do not  reboot the server unless enough amount of free space is available.
