Certificate errors running ZENworks migration

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management

Situation

When running the ZENworks migration tool in full debug mode, certificate errors will be seen in the debug log:

Problem code 0x800B0109,
A certification chain processed correctly, but terminated in a root certificate which isn't trusted by the trust provider.

CertCN_NO_MATCH

Resolution

This error can typically be ignored.  It is only seen in the advanced debugging and does not typically result in a communication problem.

Additional Information

The first error is caused by the ZEN CA certificate not being in the client workstation trust store.  The second error is caused by using the IP address instead of the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the ZENworks server.  However, neither is fatal as the certificate will be prompted for during the server selection in migration.
