Situation

Items sent from Palm Pre can be seen in Inbox
Palm Pre merges Inbox and Sent Items
Some Sent Items are seen in Inbox
Messages sent from Palm Pre goes to Inbox

Resolution

To resolve this issue, please upgrade to GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 1 or later. Many SOAP fixes were made in GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 1. Activesync implementation on all the Devices are a bit different and based on what the Device sends, information is converted to SOAP and SOAP handles it accordingly. Device would have been sending something that was converted to SOAP by Mobility Server and Post Office Agent was not handling it correctly creating an item in the Inbox too. Due to the SOAP fixes in GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 1, this has been resolved.
 
GroupWise 8 Support Pack can be downloaded by following the steps listed below.
  1. Select the Product GroupWise.
  2. Select and download the latest GroupWise 8 Support Pack.
