Supportability statement on NSL in standalone mode
Resolution
The Standalone option for SecureLogin is meant to be used on a single workstation disconnected from the network for demonstrataion purposes. In theory SecureLogin should work exactly the same in standalone mode as it does in any of the connected modes. However, our testers do not test NSL in stand alone mode. Standalone mode is therefore technically not supported.
Certain features of SecureLogin, notably SLAPTool, require a directory connection and do not work in standalone mode. If you run into problems with SecureLogin in standalone mode, try testing in eDirectory, AD, or some other connected mode before calling Novell Technical Services.
