SLAPI
Situation
SLAPI only provides access to the "User" attribute
SLAPI does not return SamAccountName
Resolution
This is working as designed.
SLAPI as currently written, supports working with credentials and runtime variables,
but not other directory attributes.
An enhancement request has been entered suggesting that it be expanded to return any directory attribute.
Additional Information
SLAPI is a SecureLogin API that allows access to credentials and runtime variables. Getting the current user name with SLAPI will retrieve the connection specific user identifier, e.g. AD DN.
